The graduation in captivity

A day waited for long time, a day Elisa has seen and seen again in her head and never figured out like this. Covid-19 has been that also, indeed. Elisa has hoped until last, has hoped to live the most important day of her studying journey like her mates did in the past years. That was not what happened.

The most important thing on graduation day is the internet connection. No blackouts or interruptions are allowed. We are not in the lecture hall, only at home, in the kitchen. The commission is not sitting in austere armchairs behind the towering desks, it is only showing itself on a screen.

It remains however a palpable tension, Elisa hides it under her beauty, a timid, almost graceful seduction, grace is not among her primary qualities but on this day she disclosures it in a surprising way. It is very close, here we are, soon the first presentations of the degree thesis begin.

This little photographic story tries to be a witness to this strange but joyful afternoon

Even if the presentation is in a video conference, the details are important

The session has started, Elisa is closely following the first candidate, she will be the third, attention and trepidation is perceived. There are a few minutes left. She is ready and loaded

Oh my god... Now it's my turn

She's started, let's go Ely

Here are the first questions from the commission

It's gone, but it's not over, will I have been up to it? Will I have won the commission? A few more minutes of patience

A mix of joy and disbelief, yes Elisa, you are a Doctor

Let's stop time for a moment, let the worries anxieties, adrenaline slip away. Now just a heartbeat to dream
